About Tiny Scenic
Hello and welcome to my shop! I'm Jo Strange, an artist based in the UK. Tiny Scenic is my imaginary picture-postcard town of small-batch jewellery, art prints and miniature home decor, designed for lovers of midcentury modern and retro Americana.
what to expect
Beautifully made. Charming. Pleasingly offbeat.
Tiny Scenic is best known for its collection of miniature-model houses and retro buildings jewellery.
I create my Tiny Scenic designs for...
...the 'noticers'
Those who appreciate details others miss; who stop the car just to photograph some faded vintage signage or a quirky building.
...the scenic route takers
Those who see the value in adopting a tourist's mindset, whether they're exploring somewhere new or simply getting the bus home.
...and the idealists
Those who long to return to an era when our homes and civic spaces were designed with joy and aesthetics as much as cost in mind.
about the founder
Hello! I'm Jo, an artist based in Winchester, UK.
Following a career in magazine publishing, I decided to return to my art background, and launched my first house necklace on Etsy in 2016.
Over the years my imaginary town has grown to include wearable diners, cabins, coffee shops, roadside signs and lots more houses in miniature.
My inspirations include novelty midcentury architecture, model villages, the small-town charm of David Lynch's Twin Peaks and the US road-trips taken with my husband... give me a scenic highway, faded roadside signs and huge skies and I'm in heaven!
Tiny Scenic is my way of saying, 'this is how I'd like the world to look'.
Fun stuff
Etsy Global Design Awards
For my swimming pool necklace design, Tiny Scenic was selected as a UK-finalist for Signature Style at the first ever Etsy Design Awards.
Tiny Scenic Artworks
I enjoy creating art pieces for group art shows. Most recently I've shown work in a pop-up show in a mid-mod motel in San Francisco!
Making connections
Meeting customers old and new in real life away from screens... Tiny Scenic really does have the nicest customers and stockists!

Learn what makes Tiny Scenic unique
- All my designs are created with beauty and longevity in mind. I take pride in the small details and finishing each piece beautifully.
- Everything is made to order from my home, using a laser cutter, miniature power tools and model-making techniques to bring everything together.
- I use a mix of materials including quality Perspex, sustainably-sourced woods and offcuts of Formica.
- Unlike most laser-cut necklaces on the market, I don't use plated chain – all my necklaces come on beautiful Sterling silver chain as standard.
- Being a small business means I am able to offer a very personal service. I have many returning customers and that really is the best feeling!
