about the founder

Hello! I'm Jo, an artist based in Winchester, UK.

Following a career in magazine publishing, I decided to return to my art background, and launched my first house necklace on Etsy in 2016.

Over the years my imaginary town has grown to include wearable diners, cabins, coffee shops, roadside signs and lots more houses in miniature.

My inspirations include novelty midcentury architecture, model villages, the small-town charm of David Lynch's Twin Peaks and the US road-trips taken with my husband... give me a scenic highway, faded roadside signs and huge skies and I'm in heaven!

Tiny Scenic is my way of saying, 'this is how I'd like the world to look'.

Having my artworks included in art shows in the UK and most recently a pop-up show in a super-cute motel in San Francisco!

Handcrafted for beauty and longevity

All Tiny Scenic jewellery and decor is crafted in small batches from our home - by me, and sometimes my husband Andrew too.
We use a mix of quality materials including woods, Perspex, offcuts of Formica and sterling silver – using our laser cutter and a selection of miniature power tools and model-making techniques to bring everything together.
We take pride in the small details and finishing each piece beautifully is really important to us.
Lots of our customers have collected (and gifted) many pieces over the years and that really is the best feeling.
